Amel Komic, MD

Dr. Amel Komic earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, where he also did his internship in general surgery. Dr. Komic also did his residency at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University where he served as administrative chief resident. He then did his fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at New York Presbyterian – Weill Cornell Medicine in New York, NY. Dr. Komic is board certified in general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, American Association of Thoracic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons and American Medical Association.

Dr. Komic specializes in all aspects of cardiothoracic care, including minimally-invasive diagnosis and treatment and cardiothoracic surgery.
