Cardiovascular Disease CardiologyDr. Roy Flood earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was a Morehead Scholar. He earned his medical degree from UNC-Chapel Hill School of Medicine. Dr. Flood went on to do an internship and residency in internal medicine at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. He did a fellowship in interventional cardiology at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Flood is board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography, American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, Association of Black Cardiologists and Society of Coronary Angiography and Intervention.
Dr. Flood’s special interests include interventional and pharmaceutical management of acute coronary syndromes, identification and treatment of coronary artery disease in African-Americans and exercise and sports cardiology.
