Dr. Tucker Lee Bettis is a fellowship-trained endocrine surgeon specializing in diseases of the thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands. He provides comprehensive surgical care for patients with thyroid cancer, thyroid nodules, Graves’ disease, hyperthyroidism, adrenal tumors and other complex endocrine disorders with a focus on surgeon-performed ultrasound, fine-needle aspiration biopsy and minimally-invasive techniques. While his primary focus is endocrine surgery, he also provides a broad range of general surgical care. Dr. Bettis is a native of Brooklet, Ga., and graduated from Southeast Bulloch High School. He earned his undergraduate degree in biological science from the University of Georgia in Athens, followed by his medical degree from Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. Dr. Bettis did an internship/residency in general surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and then a fellowship in comprehensive endocrine surgery at Emory University in Atlanta. Dr. Bettis also completed the Mastery of General Surgery with Metro Surgical in Savannah. Dr. Bettis is licensed to practice in both Georgia and South Carolina.
