Metro Surgical is the largest general surgery practice in the region. Dr. John Odom and Dr. Mark Blankenship established the practice in 1994, and it continues to grow and evolve to serve patients across the coastal region as part of the St. Joseph's/Candler Physician Network.

Our eight surgeons are board-certified and fellowship trained in general surgery and a range of key subspecialties, including hernia repair, gallbladder removal, colorectal surgery, diseases of the biliary system and more. As part of the comprehensive and integrated St. Joseph's/Candler system, they have access to the most advanced minimally invasive surgical technology in the region.

We perform procedures at St. Joseph's Hospital, Candler Hospital and the St. Joseph's/Candler Pooler Campus, with five area offices in Savannah, Rincon, Pooler, Richmond Hill and Bluffton.
