About Robert C. King, MD
Dr. R. Chris King earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania school of Medicine in Philadelphia, Penn. He did a general surgery residency at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Va., followed by a residency in cardiovascular surgery at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Wash. Dr. King did a fellowship in thoracic and cardiovascular research at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
Dr. King specializes in all aspects of cardiovascular and thoracic disease, including minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment and cardiothoracic surgery. Dr. King also has a special interest in both on-pump and off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting, atrial fibrillation surgery and thoracic ablation, including convergent procedures, valve repair and replacement, TAVR, aortic surgery and replacement, VAD replacement and cardiothoracic transplantation. Dr. King has focused his career on building teams that provide the highest level of care and quality outcomes.
Dr. King is board certified in thoracic surgery, and he is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and American College of Surgeons.
